John Jumper is currently a Director at Google DeepMind. He received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Chicago in 2017. He received his Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in 2007 and a Master of Philosophy in physics from the University of Cambridge. Recently, he was awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry (along with David Baker and Demis Hassabis) for the AI model called AlphaFold2, which can predict the structure of proteins.
